Have copper IUD in November, no Period in Dec, now 15-19 days late

As the title says, I got the copper IUD November 19th and started my period November 21-26. My period for december never showed up. I did have sex with my bf December 17th. During the intercourse there was some intense pain followed by mild bleeding for several hours. I did end up getting the flu on Christmas which lasted until New Years. Then recently, about January 2nd my stomach started hurting pretty bad. I was having moderate to severe cramps that worsened when standing up; my stomach felt full and bloated. This happened all day long up until today. My cramps are very mild but my stomach still feels like there is pressure. I went to planned parenthood, who did the IUD to talk to them about my symptoms. They did a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I have no pregnancy symptoms what so ever, my boobs don't hurt, i'm not nauseous and I don't feel any different then I usually do.

So my period is now, what I think between 15-19 days. My periods don't stay on a regular cycle, some months they come on time and others they are late up to a month & a half or 3 months.

I just want to hear some opinions from other ladies that might have had the copper iud and any complications that arose or periods being late. I don't need anyone to say "well you could be pregnant"...i've have a 6yr old and I remember how I felt when I was pregnant with him and I just don't feel that at all.

What really concerns me is the on going cramps, I can feel the pain down in my pelvis and ovaries all day long. Now I have taken some Aleve, Asprin and muscle relaxers, which I have actually found relief from, so it makes me wonder if this is just very bad cramps and my body is trying to adjust to having a foreign object in the uterus.

And please no remarks on the string. I feel for the string on a daily basis, i'm worried that one day they won't be there which means it would be expelled or floating around in my uterus, but it's there and its the same length.

I think that's all.

well, no responses, kind of figured. this is a slow forum. It's now January 11 and still no period. I am still cramping and have decided to go off the amount of days since I last had sex, which would be 26 days . I still have zero pregnancy symptoms and have decided that I'll just go get another pg test and see what it says. I'm really stressed out about this and all anyone can tell me is to get an ultrasound and blood test. well that requires either an ER or a Gyno, I have no insurance and barely make enough on work to pay my own current bills. So a Gyno won't see me and the ER will charge me probably over a grand.

I got the IUD so I didn't have to worry about not having kids for several years. I bet it's just my luck, I end up pregnant on an IUD after having it for a month. *sigh*  But Actually, it's now been about a month and a half since I had the IUD put in. I'm definitely not ready to be a mom of 2 kids, let alone, a single mom of 2 kids. And if I am pregnant, well..I don't want it. I really dont...
