Nausea from the pill

Nausea from the pill

I was on Ortho TriCyclen for years with no problems.  I got off for a while and now have been back on for over a year.  I take my pills at night with food as I always have, but this time around I am severely nauseous the next morning after the first 3 pills of a new pack - this happens every single month, and after a year has not eased up in the least.  I start a new pack on Sunday night, Monday AM I am nauseous for hours, sometimes lasting into the afternoon. Same thing happens for the next few mornings.  This happens no matter what I ate for dinner, what I eat for breakfast, etc.  Nothing seems to help.  I've even tried all the little tricks like Unisom and B6 (which someone told me is a cure for pregnancy morning sickness), as well as sour foods like lemon popsicles, ginger, crackers, several kinds of teas...no luck with anything.  I thought it would subside after a few months, but like I said, it's been over a year and the problem is still as bad as ever.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?  I have to be on Ortho - have tried others in the past but any pill with even a slightly higher progestin level causes skin problems and severe oiliness for me.  Ortho is one of if not the lowest in terms of progestin level.

Any similar stories and/or suggestions would be so appreciated!
