I wouldn't delay going to the doctor if you fear a UTI. You'll need antibiotics to kill the bacteria. However, it doesn't sound like a UTI to me. The typical symptoms are frequent urination (when I had mine it quickly escalated from one time every few minutes to hardly being able to get off the toilet before having the urge to go), burning when urinating, and bleeding when urinating/blood in the urine. You won't necessarily get the bleeding part right away, but the other two are hallmarks.
I would call the advice nurse and schedule your appointment with your doctor through this person. They will ask questions to find out if it's likely to be gas pain or a possible cyst. Something like Metamucil would be recommended for the gas pain. I don't know if they'd recommend anything to help with a cyst-related pain. My lower abdominal pain escalated from none to an unbearable amount when I had my cyst, so I went straight to the ER that evening, so I never had the whole appointment thing come into play.
and if it is a UTI is there a way i can stop the pain for awhile till i goto the doctors?
The appendix is on the lower right abdomen, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. The urine could be caused by the medication, not getting enough water, or kidney issues. Talk to your doctor. I'd also talk to the doctor about the sharp pains. Unless you're simply experiencing constipation or bad gas/bloating, it could be a cyst.
