can bc pills hurt the baby?

Let's say someone concieved right after their period, and didn't realize they were pregnant until they missed their period the following month. Could that month of taking birth control pills hurt the baby?

Also, I know you're supposed to discontinue usage the moment you find out, but how how long could you hypothetically continue taking them before the embryo was at risk?

i had this scenario and i miscarried.  Didn't know i was preggo til i went in with a UTI., and was already miscarrying at the time (at about 4 weeks). I do blame the b/c for the m/c, altho there is no way to know if it was really the cause..

Actually, Baby, there are no studies to substantiate that claim. Read your birth control pamphlet Pakrat. It will tell you that if you find out that you're pregnant you should stop taking the birth control, however, directly after that it also says that birth control has not been shown to cause any harm/birth defects when taken while pregnant. They just tell you not to take it as a precaution in the case that our studies simply were not thorough enough.

Birth control is supposed to keep you from getting pregnant, but doesnt sometimes. Yes the embryo is at risk. Whoever this is, whether u or a friend, needs to see a ob/gyn immediately!!!! And stop takin the BC.
