missed pills and side effects

i missed 2 pills one week and got back on track. And the next week i missed 2, but got back on track.. i started the blue pills ( which dont do anything ) sunday, so my period was supposed to come on sunday or mon., which is how it usually is. But my period hasnt came yet and today is Tues. I'm not really worried about the lateness bc I know sometimes it's off a day or two. And yes i had unprotected sex those 2 weeks and the week after, so i know there is a possibility of pregnancy, right.. My question is can missing pills like that just throw off your period maybe and make u feel a little weird for a few weeks?? Or would you point more toward pregnancy in this case?

Thats right, it could be both. I know on my birth control (im on Yasmin) it says if you miss 2 or more periods in a row, then you could be pregnant. And you missed alot of pills, so I think you would just have to wait and see. If you don't get a period for the next month then it could be that your pregnant. BUT, If I were you if your period does not show by the end of this week I would really consider testing to make sure your not pregnant.

It could be either or. You are dealing with hormone dosages after all. Cutting off an expected supply of hormones to your body can cause an effect. I've missed enough of my own to feel the effects. It can throw off you period if you miss enough of them. And sometimes it's not the pills but your own body making adjustments to its own natural hormone production. I would wait it out and see. My own body is currently adjusting to a new menstrual cycle after going w/out a period for 2 months.
