vaginal irritation

I've started taking pills I haven't even finished my first pack my vagina has been extremely irritated and I heard this can happen from takins birth control pills is this true if so how can I stop it from irritating

Yes its quite common, usually like a mild case of thrush. It should settle in time but in the meantime eat live yoghurt and/or those little probiotic drinks. If the irritation becomes too much either get treament for thrush or insert a little live yoghurt, dip a tampon in the stuff and insert for a couple of hours, do this 2 or 3 times a day, use non flavoured!  Sounds a bit gross but it does work as it rebalances the natural levels of the good bacteria.
