I'm not sure if that would help. I've never heard of it. What was his count? Mine was 1 million per CC, but a normal count should be 20 million/CC. The doctor told me that over time, the vas could continue to open up and allow more sperm through. So, we're going to keep trying.

That's my understanding that medically, it can be done. It would be a matter for the doctor to agree based on where you are the ability of the facility to perform this.

I still have a week before I get to go in and get mine done. I was told however, that the vas tubes can continue to heal, and the % of healthy sperm can increase over time. The possibility of scar tissue blocking the tube is also something that can happen.
I'm not sure what options you'll have if you're still having no luck trying to conceiv after a year, but a direct removal of heatly sperm can be taken from your husband for your use in conceiving if necessary. That really becomes an issue of the doctor being willing and possibly a matter what your insurance will cover.
Good luck.

I was told that 15 minutes was too long to wait.
(I couldn't take the container home to "give my sample" and bring it back if it was going to take more than 15 minutes)
So, I've got to go in and "give at the office"

I'm actually going through the same thing. I would be getting my count next week, but I'll be out of town. So, I have to wait 2 weeks. The lab told me to abstain (not ejaculate) for the 4 days prior to the test.

Of course its possible to conceive after a vasectomy reversal, if it worked.  Has he had his post op sperm count done?  This will tell if there are live, motile sperm in his ejaculate now.

If there are, and if the count and motility are normal, there is a good chance of sucess.  You may want to try every other day, though. Most agree that this allows for the optimal chance of sucess.

And remember, even if everything is perfectly timed and both couple are healthy, normal, and fertile, in any given month there is only about a 15-20% chance of conception.   So keep trying.
