Could I get pregnant

I'm taking amoxicillin for a infection in my tooth! I went to pick up the medication and the pharmacy ask me was I on birth control pills, because if so I need to protect myself while on this medication to prevent pregnancy. I told that I have a IUD and she said she don't know to much about if I can get pregnant or no. I wanted to know should me and my husband use protect to prevent Pregnancy if know I have a IUD?

I am not sure if that particular way would prevent you from getting pregnant but I would be on the safe side and use a condom until you are a week off from the meds....
