Danger signs with IUD- HELP!

I have had Mirena for almost 3 years... no problems, except for occasional ovarian cysts (which I got quite often before I even got the IUD) but all of a sudden my periods have stopped (since Oct) I have been cramping like crazy, my first thought it that I may be pregnant, well I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative (granted it was a cheapy) I have made an app with my OBGYN but they can't get me in for a couple weeks and I am starting to worry. I looked up danger signs with IUD and I have a few of them. Any idea's what is happening to me?!

They got me in a lot sooner after I called back and insisted, my IUD has somehow managed to move over to the left, they are going to take it and out put a new one in. I am just glad I'm not pregnant or anything serious is going on!

if you have severe cramping go to the ER it is much quicker than waiting for your ob/gyn who is just gonna send you for an ultrasound and they would just do  it at the ER most likely... i didnt get my period when i had mine for 5 years but i did have what im guessing were cysts burst which is extremely painful... i was constantly going to my dr for ultrasounds cause of cramping

there are times where the iud can lodge into the uterus but that is rare... i think your periods have stopped from the hormones the cramping could just be cramping but you need an ultrasound to check the position of the IUD
