Post Mirena IUD- Anyone else get/hear of extremely long cycles after removal?

My girlfriend had her IUD removed about 3-4 months ago. After withdrawal bleeding it took 50 days to get her first period (she had no periods while IUD was in). Her normal cycle was otherwise 32 days. It's now been 40 days since her first period post removal and we have no idea what's going on.

I've read some stories online but mainly from people trying to conceive. I'm hoping for experiences from other women post IUD.

Fwiw we use condoms (carefully checked afterward), spermicide, and withdrawal so pregnancy is extremely unlikely. But idk if it's something we should worry about or if it's much more likely that the IUD is causing weird things to happen.
