IUD question

I have had my IUD for about 18 months. When It was incerted the strings were maybe 1/2 - 1 cm long, Today I was checking it and I ccould barely feel it...Should I get it checked for the correct placement?  Could it be a possible preg.?

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ONCE AND I WAS FINE BUT YOU SHOULD GET CHECKED TO TO BE SURE YOU RATHER BE SAFE THAN SORRY YOU KNOW?
