Implant

I had the Contraceptive Implant a few months ago, Since then I have been on my period for nearly 10 weeks, I am losing a fair amount of blood which is causing pale skin and sometimes feeling weak.
I have been given a pill to counteract this problem and hopefully calm my period down, but it seems to have made my period heavier,
Also since I have had the Implant I have noticed that my moods have changed, I have become very sensitive and emotional. I seem to cry an awful lot and sometimes feel very depressed about things. I personally don't think this is good for me, my family and my relationship with my boyfriend.

Can anyone help me??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These symptoms can be due to menorrhagia and IUD’s and implants can cause hormonal imbalance and hence irregular bleeding.  In my opinion you need to get your pelvic examination done from your gynecologist along with investigations like complete blood count, thyroid function tests, PAP smear and ultrasound uterus.Once cause of menorrhagia is identified, treatment can be planned. If it is due to implants, then the contraceptive has to be removed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
