Just need to ask...!!!!! (Hate asking tho)

Hi there. I have been fairly good at taking my pill, I have been on it for the past few months but started getting side affects so I stopped taking it last sunday. Today is thursday and I am spotting. I take it this is the normal thing when coming off the pill? I had intercourse on the saturday so most likely its just spotting from coming off the pill right? Is there a chance of pregnancy? (I hope not because my youngest is 9 months old). Just wanna make sure.. Sorry for the silly question and I am red in the face asking, but I just need to hear from someone that knows what they are talking about.

Thanks

When a person stops taking the pill, the usual reaction is that bleeding follows.  Bummer that you had sex on Saturday and stopped taking the pill the next day, though.  It will be  unlikely that you instantly ovulated, the most common thing is to have a period, but you just can't be sure.  Call your pill's 800 number and see if they can give you a really specific answer.

Def not pregnant then.  Change your pill brand, they are not all like that.

Thank you so much for your reply. Im sure Im fine. My spotting turned into a full blown bleed. It was heavy with clots etc... The worst ever lol. I wish I had off just finished the pack but I was so stressed and peed off from the side affects. Anyway I feel better now thank god. Thanks again.
