Non latex condoms?

I have a 5 month old and I'm not trying to get pregnant again. I am still breastfeeding so I have yet to get on birth control. We have been using non latex condoms because latex seems to make me itchy and smells:p
My question is, are non latex condoms just as effective or more likely to break?

Ok thanks, I have a doctors appointment in a couple of days to get on birth control and we will still be using condoms.. I just preferred the non latex (lifestyle's skyn) brand.. How effective is the birth control pill if used the same time everyday?

Hello and hope you are doing well.
The non-latex condoms are more likely to break during intercourse or withdrawal compared to latex condoms. The chances for breakage or slippage are more compared with those for latex condoms. Non-latex condoms are generally used for those with a higher need for sensitivity or those with aversion to latex condoms. Though they do act as an effective barrier to sperm and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This is merely an advice and not a substitute for clinical examination. Consult a doctor. I sincerely hope it helps. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
