Permanent treatment for Cushing's disease (ACTH secreting adenoma) is surgical resection.
An acth secreting microadenoma is usually pituitary, but could be ectopic. Low cortisol could be from Addison's disease or failure of the pituitary to produce enogh ACTH. www.endotest.org explains these things.
is microadenoma a tumor of the adrenal? I have low cortisol and chronic fatigue. thanks!
