PET Test question

by cattoi, Sep 25, 2009 02:22AM
Just had a PET test and don't really understand one of the things on it.  I have not had time to talk to my doctor yet.  Compared to my PET test on March 20, 2008 the only significant interval change is for enlargement of a left submandibular gland node which is now hypermetabolic.  Currently this node measures on the order of 14 x 17 mm on scan 40.  Previously this node was normal in size and non-hypermetabolic.  The node previously measured 4 x 7 mm.  Maximum SUV of the lymph node is 7.5.  What does all of this mean?
