Hi there,
First of all, cancer is very rare especially in young men your age,but when there's a lump, it needs evaluation. In the vast majority of cases in males, especially younger than 60 or so, it turns out to be benign; gynecomastia, which means enlargement of male breast tissue, can occur from certain meds, marijuana use, certain hormone problems, and most often there's no particular reason. It just happens. Most breast specialists would have expertise to decide whether it needs further testing or proceed with a biopsy. If so, it's usually a minor operation, often done under local, even as an office procedure.
Many people are afraid of needles, but sometimes we have to endure them to find out about certain health issues. Please make that appointment to see you doctor who can check you and give you the best advice possible.
Best wishes...

I doubt this is a "tumor" or "breast cnacer" .. very often in younger males these lumps are hormone related and may well go away just as the increased size of the breast. You should see your Dr. so he/she can examine the lump and there shouldn't be any needles involved at all. When you read this is you put "breast lumps in young males" in the search option I'm sure you will find many posts on this same subject so you will know that your problem is fairly common.    Take care ....
