temporary interrupting chemo treatments

Seeking opinions.  In February 2011 I had mastectomy surgery to remove a stage llla breast tumor including removal of all lymph nodes as 3 of 38 were positive.  Started chemo in March.  4 treatments of A+C and 4 treatments of Taxol have been completed.  I still have 12 treatments once a month of Herceptin. to complete, however,   I am in desperate need of endoscopic laser surgery on my L5 and am thinking of delaying the Herceptin treatments for 3 months so that I can get this surgery done as an  out patient under a local anesthesia.   I had to delay the laser surgery last year due to the breast cancer.

Hi,
I would have liked to be able to give you an opinion or advice concerning your situation, but I am so sorry that unfortunately I cannot. As you know,we are volunteer members in this Forum and not doctors, therefore we are unable to provide an opinion about your case such as you have requested.
I am sure that your oncologist and your health care provider, will be able to advise you if you can delay your cancer treatment or not.
I really hope that you'll soon find an answer to this problem and be comfortable with the decision that you and your treating doctors will be making.
Wishing you good luck and success in your treatment and surgery.
