Breast cancer has come back(Not the cancer, but the side effects) and is all inflamed and I'm geting fevers.

I had breast cancer in Feb,11,2011.I had surgery on march 31st. In June I started radiation treatments but we had to stop it after the 1st 19 treatments due to my breast started burning, even with the breaks so I could heal,it still would not heal fast enough so they cancelled the last 6 treatments. Now in the last 2 weeks it started getting a lump that is extremely hard as a rock, with pain that is just so unbearable and has reduced me to tears many a day& night.I see the oncologyst tomorrow morning,I have had fever and the breast is all inflamed and so red and hot.If anyone can telll me why this has popped up after 4 months of it having gone back to normal it is now al these things......what can I do and if anyone can figure out what is going on please send a reply on any ideas. I appreciate every bit of advice that anyone can come up with .thankyou alot!! R.S   P.S It  got all red and inflamed a few days ago,but the hard part has been there for a couple of weeks.I am also retaining lots of fluids so I was given a water pill to take everyday. So if there is anyone has had this with their breast caner and if you could find an answer for this let me know. Once again thank you.

Oh also because of his diseased lymph nodes - if he got so much as a sniffle he would have fever and chills and be in bed for days on end. He was also very susceptible to infections and would swell to up to 200lbs of excess fluids having the worse areas swell up to 3x their regular size.

Is it possible your lymph nodes got damaged during radiation treatment? My uncle had lymphodemia- which is a condition basically his lymph nodes were dead and would retain fluid. His skin swelled up like a balloon and felt hard. Not like a rock, but just no room to give. Not sure if that helps but it is something to ask your oncologist about.
