Black Spots in Nipple

I recently went off birthcontrol and began to have extremely tender nipples.  I have had breast reduction surgery 2years ago and I thought that the tenderness was due to a combination of the horomones and the surgery.  Today however, I looked at my nipples and noticed tiny black spots inside the nipple.  I squeezed at them a little and the black spots came out.  I'm wondering if this is just some strange nipple blackhead thing that I've just never had before, or if it's something that I should have looked at.  I don't want to go to the doctor for nothing.
Thanks for the advice.

I went last year for a check and my doctor said i had fibrocystic breasts, now my nipples are black, and one of them discharges some kind of yellow water, i barely breath when it comes to pain and i feel tired and i'm experiencing dizzines most of the time. Is it normal or should i see a doctor rightaway

Hi,
It would be difficult to comment without a proper clinical examination. Some tenderness and lumpiness is evident due to the hormonal fluctuations associated with OCP or HRT use.
Have you noticed this episode just once, or several times? Is there any other abnormal feature on breast self exam - a nipple discharge, lump or skin changes etc?
What is your age? Do you have your menstrual periods regularly? What size were the black spots that you noticed? Also has the breast reduction surgery scar healed satisfactorily?
You could carry on with your regular breast self exams, keep the area clean and wait for a few days. If the lesions persist, worsen or any associated abnormal features appear, you could then consult your physician.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
