Breast lump, simple question

Hello I am 21 years old and I found a lump in my breast.  I showed my doctor and she referred me to a clinic.  I have an appointment tomorrow to follow up on it..this may sound like a stupid question but what's going to happen, as in what test do they usually do first?  Ultrasound, mammogram, biopsy?  What can I expect at this first appointment?  I have no experience with this so any comments would be helpful, thank you.

I don't want to worry you, but you are never too young to get breast cancer.  I was diagnoised in March this year at the age of 39.  You will make yourself sick worrying.  You need to find out for definite.  Go to your GP and request you are send for an ultrasound.  Mammograms do not show much for women under 35 as the breast tissue is too dense.  Please go to your doctor immediately to put your mind at rest.  It may be nothing, but you need to know.

Hello, I am 19 years old and i found a lump in my underarm..i got really scared because i dont know what it is. it is the size of a pea, small. and you can't really see it or anything, it doesn't hurt when i press.. but it seems hard. so i am worried that i could have breast cancer. i mean i thought it is common for older women and not at my age but i am worried.

Usually the 1st test they do is a mamagram. it isnt painfull but it can be uncomfortable esentially they have u stand infront of a machine where they place the brest inbetween two plates that are tightend close to your body Kinda squeezing your boob as flat as it will go so they can x ray thru it.it takes about 20 minutes to do the test. and they ask that you not wear deodrant  during the test. if they feel that there is reason to look further after the mamagram they will probably want a ultrasound, which it is painless an easy, a little messy because they put this gel type goop on your breast to be able to slide the hand held tool over your tissue. hang in there an try not to stress yourself out too much, chances r you will be fine
