Should I get a biopsy?

I am 11 years old and my teacher for heath told me to research on Breast Cancer since I was donating to a charity that helps find a cure for it. So I was reading that the symptoms are swelling, tender, different color, lumpiness, and an inverted nipple. I think I have an inverted nipple and tender to the touch. So should I talk to my mom about this or should I just leave it alone? The inverted nipple thinking started when I about 8 and the tender to the touch one just happened about 2-3 months ago. Should I talk? Please help me...I'm super scared!

I agree 100% that you should talk to your Mom about this. It might be a good idea for both of you to see your family Dr. who can explain what goes on in young bodies such as yours. It's a wonderful thing that you are donating to such a Charity at your young age and every penny can help find that CURE one day. I'm not sure I agree with your teacher completely .... I think you are a bit young to be doing such serious research because there is so much confusing information on the internet that your might not understand. You should always be careful doing research on the internet ... some things are true and proven and some things are just someone's opinion. I think perhaps the library where you would find some books on the subject might be a better place to research.  Talk to your Mom now and have her read what you wrote here and also our answers, OK ???   Thank you for your donation from all the women who have suffered from this disease.      Take care ....

sweetheart...
The best thing that you can do is to tell your mom everything that you said, here, about your nipple. And, show her exactly where it hurts.
Now, don't be shy or afraid... your mom will know what to do.

P.S.
I'm proud of you for donating to charity.
Also, doing research on Breast Cancer is a wonderful thing.
Just be extra careful of the sites that you visit on the internet... okay?
