I am 14 years old. And I have a huge background of breast cancer in my family. I've had two pimple like spots on my nipple. One on each breast. Ive always though this was normal until now. I have squeezed at them before amd a liquidy, milk like liquid has came out(not puss). I have had these for at least a year but recently I noticed two red spits below my nipple on my right breast. They are not irritating me at all but, they are red with out a head. I know it's not acne. Any suggestions? Should I see a doctor?
The nipple and areola area contain sebaceous and sweat glands like on the face or on any other part of the body where all sorts of skin problems, like pimples, acne, boils or eczema can occur.
These little "pimple like spots"could also be Montgomery glands which appear on the areolas or nipples and have nothing to do with breast cancer. These glands are sebaceous glands which produce an oily fluid secreted in small amount to keep the nipples and areolas lubricated..
Please do not attempt to squeeze these bumps because it could lead to infection. At your young age I wouldn't worry about breast cancer, but since this problem is worrying you,I would advise you to ask your mom,or someone close to you, to see your family Doctor or a Dermatologist for an evaluation.
