Please Guide

Hi

I am 25 year old..i felt a small lump (pea sized) below my nipple 4 -5 months back. I just ignored it for a while, but then I observed it. It doesnt change its size or doesnt move . I can feel it like a v little rounded mass.
I went to see a doctor who send me for ultrasound but the findings of ultra sound doesnt help much..they said i need to go for a biopsy. I am worried, are they hiding somethin? is this cancer

Hi,
Went through your post and comments posted in response to your post.
Clinically with the history it seemed to be benign condition of the breast probably a fibroadenoma. Since you had an biopsy already , let's await the report for definitive answer.\
Good luck for the results.

Hi,
I went to the breast surgeon, she looked at my reports and said it doesnt look like cancer but I still wanted to make sure so she did a needle biopsy. I am expecting the results on Tuesday..

Some  80% of breast lumps are benign - could be a cyst, an infection or an adenoma. Go for the biopsy as this is the only way to find out if there is a malignancy - hopefuly not. It is unsual for someone as young as 25yrs old to be dx with breast cancer, but not unheard of. Have the biopsy, get the pathology results and come back here if there is any malignancy so we can help you to go forward.
Take care,
Liz.
