Discharge & Microcalcs

I've been having diagnostic mammograms every six months for the past year and a half due to microcalcifications in the left breast.  I noticed the other day when I went to wash my bra that it seems the left nipple had some discharge.  The bra was somewhat discolored in that area, but I've never noticed it before.  I did have some clear discharge with my last mammo, however.  Rad Tech told me it was nothing to worry about, but this time it seems there's a little bit of brown/red mixed in with it.  I'd appreciate any thoughts or feed back on this.  My next diagnostic mammo is at the end of July.

Thanks!
Maggie

Thanks!  I called my dr this morning and she wants to see me first thing tomorrow.  I think she's going to send me for the mammo sooner than scheduled.

Breast discharge can be a symptom of a number of things and this could have some connection to the ?? abnormal finding on your Mammograms; but not necessarily cancer. You might give your Dr. a call and let him/her know about the discharge. Often a sample can be sent to the lab for analysis so I would let the Dr. know about it before your scheduled Mammogram in July.     Regards ....
