Estrogen Blockers as a Preventative Measure

I have ADH and will be seeing an oncologist in the next week or so to discuss the possibility of taking estrogen blockers to lessen my percentage of developing breast cancer in the next 5 years. Any one ever take this corse of action?

This is pretty much routine and the normal course of treatment with Tamoxifen is for 5 years. After that you may be switched to another drug that has a similar action. I sould say that Tamoxifen is used specifically for pre-menopausal women and different drugs for whose who are post-menopausal.     Regards ...
