Fibroadenoma ??

HEY guys, im 22 and have these weird lumps on both my breast, they tend to get swollen a few days before i get my period. These bumps hurt me when i jog and if my partner touches them. i went to the doctors and theyve said that its a fibroadenoma and that if i wanted i could ahve them removed. CAN YOU PLEASE tell me what i should do and what could happen to my breasts if i remove them or keep them.can it be harmful to me later in the future when im much older? THANKS!

THANKS. they dont bother me as much its just they hurt when i go for jogs or some basic activities that involve movement a little more than the usual. My doctor did mention that it can leave a scar and it might be harder for my breasts to heal those scars beucase im much younger.

hi missy
dont bother or worry about them dear
fibroadenomas are benign lesions of the breasts
dont be anxious about the future
they are benign and dont become malignant
and the effect of period on them points to their benign nature
due to the changes in hormone levels with the period
malignant lesions are not affected by the period
you can leave them
but if they are bothering you due to disfigurement or cosmotically
and psychologically bothering you then go for surgery and remove them
they need just excision
simple operation with no need for other surgeries like lymph nodes'
clearance or removal
regards my friend
