Fibrocystics

by dish743, Oct 07, 2009 11:17AM
I am 35 and have been dealing with fibrocystics in both my breast for about 4 years now. I have leakage out of both nipples on a regular basis, which includes discharge of a greenish, white to creamy, sometimes it is clear, and i have had blood twice. I have been to the doc, I have had ultrasounds and mamograms, and they keep telling me that i am over 75- 80% filled with cysts. I have been told by doctors that i am at a greater chance of developing breast cancer.
I have also been told to deal with it till menopause (which some days seems so far away in waiting for relief).
I have been booked for glactograms and get to the appointment and asked which duct the leak is coming from and when i tell them that i have about 3 or 4 spots that leak each side, they tell me they can not do the test until i know which duct. You have 25 ducts on each side how do you tell which one? I have had inverted nipples at times but they never stay like that.
I have found lumps that they tell me don't feel cystic and then get to the mamo and ultrasound to find out they can't find the lump i am there about.
But now I am having a new burning sensation in my left side only. Feels like someone is burning me under the skin. It is always in the same spot and it comes and goes. I am so tired of going from doctors to tests and not to mention the stress me and my partner go through each time. So i would really like to know if this burning sensation is common?.

I'm sorry you are tired of seeing Dr.s and having tests but this is the only way to know what is causing the symptoms you mention. I have no idea what the burning sensation might be coming from but I would suggest that you follow the recommendations made to find out the cause of the discharge as well as the burning sensation and also the mysterious lumps that can't be found. Perhaps a Breast MRI might be valuable in diagnosing your problems.    Regards ....
