Gynecomastia

I'm a 17 year old male that has Gynecomastia.
It starts when you hit puberty.
I'm scared if I don't get my breasts removed, it will result in cancer.
Will I get cancer if I don't get them removed?

No!  Benign means that it is harmless, medically speaking, and is unrelated to cancer.

It is a cosmetic concern for some men (for example, they are uncomfortable being seen in a swimsuit), but other men just ignore it and go about their lives.

Best wishes...

This is a BENIGN condition caused by an imbalance in hormones. It may regress but if not in 3 years or so then surgery can be performed but not to remove the breasts completely. Liposuction can sometimes be a solution but you should not rush into any type of solution right away as this condition may go away as your hormones reach a balance.  Take care .....
