Hair loss after regrowth

I am taking Taxol (first treatment today) after 4 treamtents of Taxotere.  My onc switched me to Taxol due to excrutiating pain in my nail beds.  I did 4x of A/C and lost all my hair.  My hair started to grow back (slowly mind you) and now tonight, I am pulling a lot of ... [More] hair out of my head.  I am terrified that it will all fall out again.  I am devistated.  The nail bed pain, nueropathy, the blocked tear ducts that cause tears to stream down my face constantly!  Saw an opthamologist today that opened the ducts.  This lasted all of 1 and 1/2 hours.  Now water works in full force again.  Guess my next step is stents.
I just can't believe that the hair is coming back out!!!  Please give me hope that it wont ALL come out again

Many of the Chemotherapy drugs do list hair loss as a side effect; Taxol is one of them so you may well experience this side effect again. When your therapy is completed there is no reason to think that your hair will not regrow just as it did this last time. It's just something that has to be tolerated when taking Chemotherapy but I feel it's a small price to pay for your life. Take care .....
