Hair regrowth

by Ajax969, Aug 27, 2008 10:46AM
I had breast cancer two years ago and chemotherapy afterwards.  My hair is slowly growing back, but it's not growing fast enough for me.  Is there anything that I can do that will help it along?

Hi.
How are you doing?
Hair loss is one of the side effects of chemotherapy.  It may take a while before your hair grows to its pre treatment look or appearance.  My patients tried applying Minoxidil solution on their scalp to hasten hair growth.  But the results vary.  You may want to try it on your scalp and see the result.  You may also wish to consult a dermatologist for other intervention.
Good luck.
