Hormone receptors test

I had a lumpectomy  on August 13, I'm going for chemo next week. I'm ER-, PR+ and HER2-, what can you tell me about it? What kind of chemo will I have to do, based on those results? The nurse mentioned that the PR+ was "weak"...what does it mean?

Hi, your hormone receptor status determines if estrogen hormone antagonists, like Tamoxifen, Femara, etc, should be used with you to help with your 'systemic treatment. (like chemotherapy, hormone treatment is 'systemic treatment, opposed to radiation and surgery and which are local treatments)

The above values you stated propose that hormone treatment is not indicated for you, as estrogen is negative, and progesterone doesn't matter much)

It also means that you will not be receiving Herpecin??(spelling) which is good, the HER2-.

The values above do not determine at all what type of chemotherapy you will receive.

hope that helps a little, KATRIN
