Indent on breast

I have an indent on my right breast above the nipple that only appears directly after I have taken my bra off and after a few minutes the breast goes back to its normal shape. Should I be concerned about this?  My doctor said it was just an environmental factor (I.e when I am cold) but I am still a little anxious about it. Does anyone else have this? x

Hi,
An indentation or dimple on the breast should be investigated as the formation of a lump can sometimes pull the skin into the breast causing the dimple.Dimpling can certainly occur from benign causes, but without evaluation it's impossible to speculate on what is causing this indentation, especially if it happens every time you remove your bra or wear a different kind of bra.I would be feeling anxious too if my doctor tells me that this dimple could be caused by an environmental factor....Just to be on the safe side, you could talk to your doctor to order an Ultrasound or a Mammogram to make sure that there isn't an underlying problem.
I added below a site to show you, in the meantime, how to do your "self breast exam"

Take care....

You welcome!
If I were you,I would  want to discuss with the Breast Specialist the option to have at least an Ultrasound.Breast lumps are not always palpable and the breast could look quite normal even to a Breast Specialist. Please do not rely on other women that have your same condition. Each case is different and what might be a serious problem for some, might not be the same for others.
I can see that you are quite worried....and the only advice I could give you is to discuss with your Doctor and let hi/her know about your concern. Unless some type of testing is done,I am afraid that this "What if" feeling will not give you the peace of mind that you really need.
Wishing you all the best...

Thanks!  I should have said in my post that it was a breast cancer specialist who checked me over and he said that he had no concerns after checking me over physically. At the moment I am suffering from a little health anxiety and just can't shake that "what if" feeling :o(

I am hoping that some other women out there get this and can re-assure me that this happens to them and that it's nothing to be concerned about.

Thank you for the self check info, much appreciated!!
