What does this mean.. I searched internet and found that category 4 is some what dangerous. Does anyone had this type of result and it was false. I am really worried a lot... Please help me and share your experience. I have appointment with breast specialist tomorrow. Will update more later..
This is ultrasonography report. How can they differentiate b/n benign and malignanant without biopsy. How can they see fluid in ultrasonography? I saw the report but couldn't understand except well defined and poor defined.
Relatively well-defined hypoechoic lesion, 6.4mm sized at Rt 10 o'clock area and 5.4 mm sized Lt. 11 o" clock area
--R/O separated fat lobule (category 3)
DDX - benign breast mass such as fibroadenoma
--follow up is recommended
About 8.1, 7.2 mm sized relatively well-defined hypoechoic lesion, Lt 2-3 o'clock area
--Breast cyst, follow up is recommended (category 2)
Relatively poorly-defined hypoechoic lesion with suspicious posterior shadowing, 20.9mm, Rt 10o'clock area and 14.4 mm, Rt 7 o'clock area
--R/O focal fibrosis (category 4a)
DDX - breast cancer, less likely
-- biopsy is recommended.
