Lumps under my armpit !! Im really scared ='( HELP !!

I have found that I have lumps under both of my ampits and i'm getting very worried.

Im 15 soon and have talked to my mum about the lumps but she just says the are my glands...
My right armpit has a small lump at the bottom near my breast but myleft armpit has a large lump, which over the days has been getting larger and now covers the area of my armpit.

They are exremely painful when I touch them and hard.
I have been sweating more lately and wonder if that has something to do with them.

I haven't been to see the doctors .. should I?

Please help me !! =(
Im very scared !!

Thanks

I would get them checked by a doctor just to be sure.  At your age, it is not likely to be breast cancer, remember that.  However, any change needs to be evaluated just to be on the safe side.  As bhumi123 said, your periods can make your breasts feel lumpy and tender.  Are the lumps still there the week after your period?  You are obviously very worried, so I think you should talk to your mom and ask her to take you to a doctor.  At least then you will have peace of mind.  It could also be an infection.  I recently found a lump that hasn't gone away.  The doctor thinks that it is probably benign (not cancerous), but I am getting a mammogram and ultrasound test done just to be safe.  See what the doctor thinks and go from there.  I'm not saying it couldn't be breast cancer, but it's not likely, ok?  Your age is on your side, and at your age the breasts are still growing and changing because of puberty.  I think at most it is probably an infection, but only the doc. can tell you for sure.  Don't worry, it's probably nothing serious, and don't poke at the lumps a lot.  I did that with mine and it got really sore.  The doctor told me to leave it alone and quit touching it so I don't irritate it.  Good luck and hope you are ok.  :)

Hi,
If you think that the lumps are painful and are increasing in size you definitely need to see a physician and get a proper clinical evaluation done. A definite diagnosis can be established only then and further management planned accordingly. The physician might prescribe you a course of antibiotics and painkillers and some topical creams. You also need to see if the increase in size and pain coincides with your menstrual cycle because slight lumpiness in the breasts usually is seen during the menstrual periods due to the fluctuating hormonal levels and the breasts are also tender then.
