I went for my 'annual' diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound--have been having them for years.. never cancer, had an aspiration over 20 years ago. (I am 47 and have lost about 20 pounds since my last mammo-by choice :) Anyway, had the mammo. and the girl said he (radiologist ) would most likely have more-- his way.. and YES, had to have a couple more on each breast... and wait, and a couple more on my left, they twisted my breast 2 different ways. ( I have fibrocystic and very dense and small breasts), anyway, the follow up ultrasound (routine for me) and from what I could gather my cysts on right are the same from last year and she found a very small cyst on my left (which she said the rad. most likely had seen. Anyway, she said that the rad. is very through and all the previous diagnosic patients had to have 'more taken'... and not to worry... argh!!! I wonder if there was a problem w/t he ultrasound, the rad. would of been aware of it immediately? She did NOT seem concerned...
