Hi there,
Just wanted to ask about breastfeeding and lumps. Been solely breastfeeding my daughter for five months. Found a lump in the left breast in Feb this year. Had ultrasound, report said likely fat necrosis, vague change in subcutaneous tissue, went for another ultrasound beginning july, had FNA. Can still feel the lump, maybe its a bit smaller but not sure. I see surgeon on Tuesday, is fat necrosis a likely possibility during breastfeeding?. And the left breast is always bigger than the right..this is freaking me out a little bit..and tuesday can't come soon enough.

Without benefit of examination and review of films it's impossible to speculate as to the cause of your concerns about this lump. You might post on the Breastfeeding Community also and see if others have experienced this type of problem when breastfeeding. You don't mention anything about the second US or the FNA reports. I'm sure the Surgeon will be able to shed some light on your situation. Regards ....
