Pain above my nipple
I have a pain just above my left nipple. It is painful when pressed lightly. I cant feel any lump but it is slightly harder than the other when I compare them by touching it. I've had it for 2 months now. But I have just noticed it more now as the pain is becoming more painful. What could this be?

Hi there.

What you are experiencing may be an early symptoms or development of breast infection called mastitis.  This can be accompanied by increasing pain, swelling or nipple discharge.

Another possibility is that of fibrocystic breast changes which can also present with your symptoms.

If this is infection or mastitis then this may need a course of antibiotics.  But I believe that this should warrant first a doctor consult and evaluation to narrow down the possibilities.

REgards.
