Possible nodular density right breast

Mammograms states following:  The breasts are heterogeneously dense, this limits sensitivity.  A small 7 mm nodular density posteriorly in the central aspect of the rt breast on the CC view is noted, not confidently identified on the MLO view and not definitely seen previously.  Otherwise there is no dominant mass or suspicious calcifications.  There are a few scattered benign appearing calcifications seen bilaterally.
IMPRESSION: possible nodular density rt breast. Add. views & ultrasound if needed recommended.  ACR birads 0: incomplete.

Is this possible cancer they are seeing?  Really worried.  I am schedule to do a diagnostic mammogram next week, but I'm really nervous.  Thanks for any help you can give me.  Geri

I think you are jumping to conclusions here. As stated in the report they are not positive that there is something there and with very dense breast tissue this is not unusual. It's also not unusual to be called back for additional views. When anything abnormal is seen on Mammogram it's always possible that it may be cancer but we should never be looking in that direction when there is hardly any information available. The "diagnostic Mammogram" won't be any different than the one you had ..... only different views will be taken and the Radiologist will be "on site" and will read the films immediately and will no doubt speak to you after the Ultrasound to explain what is seen.    Take care ....
