My right nipple has been itching and tonight I noticed a small amount of fluid coming out of it

I was told that if your nipple itches it can be cancer.  I don't feel any lumps however there is a small amount of fluid that is coming out of the nipple.  It is a slight yellow/green color and is kind of thick.  Is this something I should be concerned abour?

I had a clear discharge for 2 years now it has turned bloody they have found a lump deep in the duct. It is something you should watch closely for changes. I am suppose to go for a biopsy but now my breast has stopped discharging and without it discharging they cant locate the duct. Frustrating

Breast discharge isn't usually a cause for concern and it can be almost any color & consistancy. Only when the discharge is bloody, from only one nipple and without stimulation (squeezing) is it something that deserves immediate attention. It never hurts to have any symptom checked out by your Physician if it becomes worrysome to you. An itchy nipple area alone isn't necessarily a sign of cancer.    Regards ...
