Pathology report from breast tissue: Residual infiltrating lobular carcinoma of breast. fibroadenoma of breast, fibrocystic changes of breast including fibrosis and apocrine metaplasia, Estrogen and Progesterone positive and HER2/Neu positive. Predictive marker at 2+ and fluorescence in situ Hybrization fish report not amplified.
Biopsy pathology said: Insitu and invasiave well differentiated carcinoma with mixed features of ductal and lobular differentiation.
Do the words invasiave mean that it has characteristics to move? Does one type of feature mean more than another? What about the words Not amplified? Her2/Neu Positive?
Once cancer has become invasive, it needs to be treated, and further evaluation is usually done to make sure there has not been spread to the axillary lymph nodes or distant sites.
The tumor was determined to be ER+, PR+,and HER2+.
Best wishes...
