Yes, I do. i think they can tell from the ultrasound and that doesn't hurt at all, is noninvasive and quick.
Katrin
thanks for ur post i hope i dont have to do any further testing but if i have too than i well do u think when the doctor checks u that they more less tell what it is?? when i went to see my doctor she said it didnt have the same components to be cancer cause it seem to be long but not to sure!!
I am glad the next step is an ultrasound because they can tell very accurately often what the lesion is with ultrasound, especially in woman your age, and I hope the biopsy can be skipped for this time. (which I don't know will be the case, only hope so)
best, katrin
thank u so much for ur comment!! i do have an appointment with the radiolagist to get a altrasound on monday i just hope they can tell me something right away if its liquid filled or solid i thank u for ur help..
First of all ... 2 cm. is not small and The Dr. is correct; a biopsy is the only way to determine the true nature of this lump. This could be either a cyst (fluid filled sac) or a Fibroadenoma (benign breast tumor) but the biopsy will be needed to be certain. There are several types of biopsies and they are nothing to be scared of at all. Please do as the Dr. advised and see a Breast Surgeon or a General Surgeon for an opinion as to what type of biopsy would be appropriate in your case. The worst thing you can do is to ignore the lump so make that appointment soon and put your mind at ease. Regards .....
