NODULES...

HI! I'M WILMIE..AND I'M ONLY 22 YRS. OLD
I'VE DONE TWO BREAST ULTRA SOUND ALREADY..

FROM THE FIRST ONE THEY DETECTED A HYPOECHOIC NODULE ON MY LEFT BREAST BUT IT IS TOO SMALL TO BE REMOVED ACCORDING TO MY DOCTOR 0.55CMX0.34CM 1 O'CLOCK POSITION, NO NODULES ON THE RIGHT..

THEN MY MOM ASKED ME TO GO TO HER DOCTOR. SHE RECOMMENDED TO DO THE ULTRASOUND AGAIN. LIKE BEFORE SHE ADVISED ME TO DO IT NOT AFTER AND NOT BEFORE THE MENSTRATION TO PREVENT FROM HORMONAL IMBALANCE NODULES..

I DID THE SECOND ULTRASOUND A MONTH AND A HALF AFTER THE FIRST ONE..
WHEN WE GOT THE RESULT IT ALARMED ME TO KNOW THAT THE NODULE DISCOVERED WAS STILL THERE MEASURING NOW 0.67X0.36CM, THEN ADDITIONAL OF 0.33CM HYPO 12 O'CLOCK A,0.32 HYPO 12 O'CLOCK B, 0.36CM HYPO 10 O'CLOCK, AND SOLID 0.43CMX0.37CM 3 O'CLOCK POSITION...

0.32CM CYSTIC, 0.39CM HYPOECHOIC, AND TWO SOLID ON MY RIGHT BREAST...

THE DOCTOR ADVISED ME TO OBSERVED IT FOR 4 MONTHS....THEN DO ANOTHER TEST..
I CANNOT UNDERGO A BIOPSY YET BECAUSE THOSE WERE TOO SMALL ACCORDING TO MY DOCTOR..

WE HAVE A LINE OF CANCER ON MY MOTHER SIDE...
IS MY CASE ALARMING?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN  CYSTIC,HYPOECHOIC AND SOLID?
THANKS..

hmm..from my result its in cm unit...here in philippines i think they use cm...most of you here on this site as i read other post they use mm...

my doctor told me to wait until 4-6 months...
wait till it gets bigger then if it does do a biopsy..
on its size right now..there would be a probability that they could get the needle to a wrong place/..i dono..im not an expert but that is what she said..maybe your technology there is better than here..but i really dont know anything about this stuff..

Cystic is a lesion containg fluid (a cyst), solid nodule is one that does not contain fluid but is solid in nature. Hypoechoic is simply a term used in Sonography indicating that the area in question gave off less echos than would normally be expected. I'm not sure why you would be surprised to know that the nodules were still present .... they seldom go away but can be followed frequently by Ultrasound to ck. for any change or growth.Unless you are in error as to the measurements (mm rather than cm) I see no reason why these could not be biopsied. 1/3 cm. is a little less that 1/8 in. the measurement in mm would be another situation however. Cysts can also contain both fluid and solid material so they may all be cysts. I would advise you to see a Breast Specialist since you seem to have concerns.   Regards ....
