Soreness and black dots on nipples?

For nearly a month my nipples have been increasingly sore and sensitive. I keep my breast clean, but have notice these little black dots the size of a pen point on my right nipple and one on my left. I thought they were black heads at first but nothing I've tried has gotten rid of them and my nipples hurt to much to squeeze or pinch. I thought it might have been a sign of oncoming preganacy but I just started my period yesterday.
And if it changes anything, I get frequent yeast infections that always come back after being treated.
