Hi,..I had a full a hysterectomy July12th,.. never had bumps in my breasts until now,...and I just had a mam o gram, and ultra sound,...I was told I have lots of thick fibroidous tissues, in a spot close to where I feel the lump, but not over the lump??? I am wondering if the previous surgery has influenced any cancerous growth??? Hang in there,..you are not alone in your wondering,...but don't let people tell you it's nothing,..have it checked out!!! I am only 29. I am wondering at this point how worried I should be too! I do not know the actual results from my DR. at this time,....
You should tell your doctor that you want it biopsied!!! WHAT did you Md think it was?? If he though it was "nothing" he should have told you what he thought it was, like cyst, etc. Any lump that ha even been found in my breasts was always biopsied w/ a needle. The place where you had the mammo or ultrasound can usually do a needle biopsy (which is painless). If it's a cyst the biopsy will likely drain it and it should be gone. If it's solid the sample will be analysized by a pathologist. Your health insurance should cover it. If you think the lump has changed, have it checked out
