What are Ovoid hypoecoic areas on ultrasound?

I recently had a mammogram and a ultrasound because I found a lump in my left breast. My doctor found a second one. The results said there are 2 Ovoid hypoecoic areas measuring 7x6x3 mm & 5x5x2 mm. The report also says they most likely represent lymph nodes and have probably benign findings. My doctors told me they were swollen lymph nodes and to have another mammo and ultrasound in 6 months. Then, 2 weeks later I found another small hard lump that feels round like a pea, but very hard. I told my doctor and she didn't even feel it and just said we should follow up in 6 months. She said they probably wouldn't let me have another set of tests since we just had them. I'm worried. My Mom had breast cancer at 52. I'm 46. What should I do?  Why would my lymph nodes be swollen. I also forgot to mention I have taken antibiotics since then for other things. So I'm sure I do not have an infection anywhere. I have t been sick either.

The Birad 3 classification is merely a scale used in Radiology to indicate the status of a finding. 3 indicates just what you were told; probably benign but a re-check in a shorter time than usual, which would be 1 year, is recommended. An ovoid finding is simply egg shaped (0val) rather than round or any other shape. Lymph nodes enlarge often due to some type of infection located somewhere in the body .... it is their function to enlarge in such cases. If you aren't satisfied with your Drs opinion then I suggest that you see someone else; a Breast Specialist would be a good choice and be sure that he/she has access to your films. Regards ....
