hi! i'm 24 and i have a fibroid in my breast for 2 years already. i'm absolutely against surgery, while each single traditional medicine octor tells me that nothing is gon help. don't believe them! homeopathic medicine and right diet can help you shrink your fibroid, but make sure that it's benign...you can check it by biopsy-not a pleasant procedure, but u'll know for a fact. try to find a homeopathic doctor in your area, and visit www.abchomeopathy.com. also, every day drink a 1oz. shot of organic wheatgrass juice, and organic freshsquized juice of kale, parsley, celery, collards, spinach, ginger & 1/2 of green apple. don't eat red meat at all, no sugars & pastries. i know it's ver hard, but all those foods feed the fibroid. after following al this, it'll start to shrink. good luck!
thank you for your advice :)
Hi there - how did the doctor (PCP/GP/radiologist/bc surgeon?) detect the fibroid adenoma? Hopefully you had the three step consultation? Mammo/ultrasound and biopsy. I didn't even have a palpable lump so don't know how a cancerous lump would feel - it was found on a 3 yrly mammo and turned out to be an invasive ductal cancer, with DCIS as well, but had the 3 step treatment to properly diagnose the shadow that was found on the first mammo.
Yes, you can get breast cancer at 20 yrs, although very rare. I don't believe there are any herbs or over the counter medicines that can protect you from breast cancer. A good diet, with 5 fruits or vegetables a day, at least 3 portions of fatty fish meals (herrings, mackerel, sardines, pilchards) will give you protective Omega 3 oils naturally. Don't smoke or take too much alcohol. These are just "risk factors", but I do believe if you have the genetic tendency, you are going to get it regardless of what lifestyle you have. There is no history of breast cancer in my family, but other cancers, as my father died of colon cancer at 59 yr, and my twin brother of brain cancer at 50 yrs. I was 58 yrs old whenI was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am afraid it seems to be just like the roll of the dice for some families.
Just make sure the doctor is correct in diagnosing a fibroid adenoma - young women like you are prone to "dense fibrous breast tissue", so take comfort in that.
Hope all goes well for you.
Liz.
