after arimidex

After 5 years of Arimidex, is there another drug that can be taken to prevent or lessen the recurrence of breast cancer? I am diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer now on my 4th year of arimidex.

Your Oncologist would be the person to discuss this with at the present time .... often these drugs are prescribed for more than 5 years but switching to another drug wouldn't seem advisable if you are doing well on Arimidex. You still have a year to go before any decision needs to be made. I'm sure you will be seeing your Oncologist before the 5 years are up. Regards ....
