my mom has the same problem.  her legs hurt all the time even when she isnt moving. she complains that her 'bones hurt' and sometimes they 'zing'. she also cant feel the tips of her fingers (she can reach into the oven and take the food out without mits no problem).  its neuropathy.  as dr bhumika said, there is medication that helps. aside from that i recommend raiki treatments *spelling may be off ...its pronounced "ray-key" it helped her tremendously. good luck!!!

Hi,
Your mother needs to get a bone scan done to rule out any metastasis to the bones as she is having difficulty in walking.
She also needs to get a Ct scan done and liver function tests to rule out metastasis to the liver, lungs and brain.
Why was the treatment stopped ?
When was your mother diagnosed?
She would need pain relief medication, regular exercises, calcium and vitamin supplements.
A clinical examination by a physician is required to see the reason of the loss of sensations and swelling on one side of the body that you mention.
You should take her to the doctor immediately,so that a confirmed diagnosis can be made and further management planned accordingly.
It is not possible to treat her at home, by yourself.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
