concerned about taxol not working
My mom has stage IIa, grade 3 her 2 positve breast cancer...she started chemo before surgery..4 rounds of ac which was shrinking the tumor. then after 2 rounds of taxol the tumor started growing again..now they wanna do surgery and stop the taxol being that it isnt working...should she have a different chemo after surgery or does she have just a good a chance just continuing herceptin alone....

It's never known with 100% certainty how a tumor will respond to any particular treatment or medication. The plan may change after her surgery and the final Pathology report but this will be determined by her Oncologist. If we knew all the answers there might not be Breast Cancer at all but we don't so we have to deal with what information we have and hope for the best. Wishing your Mother a speedy recovery and successful treatment following her surgery. Regards ....
Has any1 gotten lymphedema after surgery? what exactly do u have 2 deal with? and is there any treatment?
Thanx for your input...she had her surgery and now were waiting on d pathology report,,keeping our fingers crossed..
